Across Eastern Kentucky, educators, industry leaders, community organizations, and workforce partners are coming together to strengthen opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math. The Eastern Kentucky STEM Ecosystem is a growing regional network focused on aligning education pathways, supporting innovation, and helping students and communities thrive in a rapidly changing economy.
The Ecosystem brings together partners from across the region to share resources, collaborate on initiatives, and expand access to meaningful STEM learning experiences for students of all ages. By connecting classroom learning with real-world applications and workforce opportunities, the Ecosystem aims to ensure that Eastern Kentucky’s talent and creativity continue to drive the region forward.

The EKY STEM Ecosystem is supported by funding from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) Kentucky Grant Program and the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development’s G.R.A.N.T Program, which are helping to advance coalition-building, teacher professional development, and career-connected STEM learning opportunities for students across the region.
